This Metro MW Series utility cart is made of type 304 stainless steel to resist corrosion, and has four swivel casters, two shelves, and two U-shaped handles and is suitable for sorting, storing, and transporting items. The shelves are made of 18 gauge type 304 stainless steel and have double-thick edges and epoxy-coated cast aluminum corners for strength and stability. The edges on the shelves are raised to help contain liquid spills. Tapered split sleeves on the posts help hold and support the shelves. The cart has two U-shaped handles and four 4-inch/102 mm swivel casters for mobility. The casters come with donut bumpers, and both are made of rubber to help protect walls and furniture from damage. This cart is NSF International-certified for food equipment for all environments (including refrigerators, freezers, and warewashing areas). It is typically used in the food service, healthcare, and commercial products industries, but can be used for other applications to sort, store, and dispense items.
The assembled utility cart is 38 x 18 x 24 inches/965 x 457 x 610 mm (H x W x L). (H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; L is length, the horizontal distance from front to back.) It has a 375 lb./170 kg total capacity when distributed evenly across all shelves. This cart requires assembly and comes with instructions. No tools are required for assembly, but a rubber mallet (sold separately) is recommended.
Utility carts, also known as service carts, are used for securely storing, organizing, and transporting equipment, supplies, refuse, and materials. They are suitable for use in industrial, manufacturing, and maintenance applications, as well as in the home.
